How to Book a K2 Expedition or Trekking Trip

For a successful and comfortable trekking experience to K2 Base Camp with K2 Expedition & Trekking, proper preparation is key. Here’s a comprehensive packing guide to ensure you have everything you need:


1. Clothing:

  • Base Layers:
    • 2-3 moisture-wicking long-sleeve shirts (thermal)
    • 2-3 moisture-wicking long pants (thermal)
  • Mid Layers:
    • 2-3 lightweight fleece or wool sweaters for insulation
    • Insulated down jacket (high-quality, windproof)
  • Outer Layer:
    • Waterproof, windproof shell jacket with a hood (Gore-Tex recommended)
    • Waterproof, windproof shell pants (Gore-Tex recommended)
  • Trekking Pants and Shirts:
    • 2-3 pairs of trekking pants (convertible preferred)
    • 3-4 quick-drying trekking shirts (long and short sleeves)
  • Insulated Layer:
    • Heavy down jacket for extreme cold conditions (required for higher elevations)
  • Headwear:
    • Warm wool hat (covering ears)
    • Lightweight sun hat or cap
    • Balaclava or neck gaiter for extra warmth
    • Sunglasses with UV protection
  • Handwear:

  • Sleeping Pad or Inflatable Mattress:
    • Lightweight inflatable mattress or closed-cell foam pad for insulation
  • Trekking Poles:
    • Adjustable, lightweight trekking poles for stability
  • Backpack:
    • 50-60 liter backpack (for carrying essentials)
    • Daypack (20-30 liters for daily trekking use)
  • Dry Bags:
