Terms and Conditions

Welcome to K2 Expedition & Trekking. Please review the following Terms and Conditions carefully before making a booking with us. By booking and participating in any of our treks or expeditions, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking and Payment:

• A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required to secure your reservation.
• The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to the trip start date.
• For bookings made less than 30 days before the start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
• Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or any other method specified in the booking confirmation.

2. Cancellation by the Client:

• All cancellations must be made in writing and sent via email to info@k2trekandexpedition.com.
• Refunds, if applicable, will be issued as follows:
  • 60+ Days Before the Start Date: 90% of the total trip cost will be refunded.
  • 30 to 59 Days Before: 50% of the total trip cost will be refunded.
  • 15 to 29 Days Before: 25% of the total trip cost will be refunded.
  • 14 Days or Less: No refund will be issued.

3. Cancellation by K2 Expedition & Trekking:

• We reserve the right to cancel or modify any trip due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest).
• If we cancel the trip, clients will receive a full refund of the amount paid or the option to transfer the payment to a future trip.

4. Changes to the Itinerary:

• While we strive to follow the planned itinerary, factors like weather or road conditions may necessitate changes.
• We reserve the right to adjust the itinerary for the safety and well-being of participants.
• Any additional costs resulting from such changes will be the client’s responsibility.

5. Health and Fitness Requirements:

• Trekking and mountaineering require a certain level of fitness and stamina.
• Clients must ensure that they are physically fit to participate.
• We reserve the right to decline participation if anyone is deemed physically unfit.
• All clients must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions or medications being taken before the trip.

6. Travel Insurance:

• Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal liabilities is mandatory.
• Proof of insurance must be provided before the start of the trip.

7. Assumption of Risk:

• By participating, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with high-altitude trekking and mountaineering.
• K2 Expedition & Trekking is not liable for any injury, illness, death, loss of property, or other damages during the trip.

8. Safety and Behavior:

• Clients must follow the safety guidelines and instructions provided by our guides and staff.
• Behavior that endangers the group or disrupts the trip will not be tolerated. In such cases, we reserve the right to terminate the participant’s involvement without refund.

9. Equipment and Gear:

• Clients must bring their own gear as per the recommended packing list.
• Mountaineering equipment can be rented upon request, subject to availability.
• Any damage or loss of rented equipment will be charged to the client.

10. Personal Belongings:

• While we take utmost care in handling your belongings, K2 Expedition & Trekking is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
• We recommend securing valuables and keeping essential items with you at all times.

11. Visas, Permits, and Travel Documents:

• Clients are responsible for obtaining the necessary visas, permits, and travel documents.
• We can assist in providing documentation for permits, but the final responsibility lies with the client.

12. Complaints and Disputes:

• Any complaints should be promptly raised with your guide or emailed to info@k2trekandexpedition.com.
• If a dispute arises, both parties agree to try resolving it through amicable negotiation. Unresolved disputes will be settled according to local laws in Pakistan.

13. Use of Photos and Videos:

• We reserve the right to use photos and videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes.
• If you prefer your photos not to be used, please inform us in writing before the trip starts.

14. Privacy Policy:

• We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
• Personal details shared with us will be used only for trip arrangements and will not be shared without your consent.

15. Governing Law:

• These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.
• Any legal action relating to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Pakistan.
